Holly Giles @ Temptation Falls 19/08/2021

I had just finished taking notes on a blog on Winter, and I got the notice to get over to Temptation Falls for a HσƖƖყ GιƖҽʂ (HollyGilless Heartsong) set. She and I had been in IM earlier at the Winter show, talking about perhaps doing a blog in the next little while and so I jumped at the chance of doing both sides of this wonderful team and posting them at the same time.

Temptation Falls is a great sim with at least 3 venues that present a wide range of live music. Its an active place to keep an eye on, as they have multiple shows on each week. browneyes Magic and Gib Dix are the friendly owners of this remarkable sim, and they have done a lovely job of revamping the beach/now pool area for the summer festivities. On different levels can be found the Blues Club and The Barn.

I hastily set up my notes and arrived just in time to hear the opening notes of Merle Haggard's "A Place To Fall Apart". Holly is as versatile as Winter when it comes to her repertoire, which ranges from classic country and classic rock through to modern pop.

Her vocals are strong, clear and well suited to her music choices. Pitch is excellent and she is top tier entertainment. I loved her set.

From The opener by Haggard she went right into Chris Stapleton's Tennessee Whiskey and followed up closely with Gimme One Reason by Tracy Chapman. Just s short pause to introduce the next one and she told us a couple of little musical tales with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats' "S.O.B." about drinking a life away and "Ex's & Ohs" by Elle King, a great little story and perfect for dancing.

Holly's set was fresh and it didn't matter if it was Patsy Cline "Crazy" (which truly is one of my favorite songs of all time), or "I'll Be There" (The Yodel Song) from Jess Glynne, it was appealing and there was a fun spirit in the air. She did so many great tunes but I think the highlight for me was the end of the set where she did "Like The Way I Do" by Melissa Etheridge and then dropped right into Tina Turner's "Nutbush City Limits" for a great ending to a great set.

Her delivery is impeccable, and she is an energetic and talented individual that should earn her your presence at a set.

GREAT SET HOLLY, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

AND WITH THANKS TO TEMPTATION FALLS FOR 3 INCREDIBLE VENUES THAT GIVE US SO MANY LIVE MUSIC OPTIONS EVERY WEEK. And Remember Y'all....it's HIP to TIP!

It's a fall day at Temptation Falls and the sim looks wonderful with all the colours of the leaves and the last blast of flowers for the season. It's gorgeous here and worth taking a look, not to men

The Venue is a refit of an older establishment that has been put together in record time by the new owner, CandyKisses. She has done a great job of texturing and making all kinds of little places to

Swamp Water Bluz is looking good with its recent freshening up and they continue trying out new artists, as well as maintaining their "tried and true" crowd pleasers. I haven't blogged from there in
